### Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Child Life Specialist to join our team at Southcoast Health System. As a Child Life Specialist, you will provide interventions to reduce stress and promote healthy coping with the hospital experience by focusing on the emotional, cognitive, and developmental needs of children and their families in the healthcare setting.

### Responsibilities

* Provide interventions to reduce stress and promote healthy coping with the hospital experience
* Mentor hospital staff to the psychosocial needs of children and their families
* Foster a positive hospital-community relationship

### Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field
* Child Life Professional Certification required within 6 months of hire
* Completion of a Child Life Internship consisting of at least 480 hours
* CPR Certification required (within 90 days of hire)
* 1+ years related experience
