About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Intervention Specialist to join our team at the Kennedy-Donovan Center. As a key member of our pediatric team, you will play a vital role in providing family-centered services that support and enable families to meet their child's individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with families to identify each child's strengths and developmental needs, and work collaboratively to develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
  • Conduct home visits to provide developmental stimulation, parent training, and support, and facilitate parent/child and/or child groups.
  • Oversee case management and referral services to assigned caseload, and maintain appropriate communication with physicians, clinics, and community agencies participating in each child's care.
  • Provide information to parents that enable them to make informed decisions for their child's progress, and work closely with a transdisciplinary team on program planning and delivery of services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in one or more of the following fields: Infants and toddlers, Child development or child studies, Education or special education, Psychology.
  • 300+ hours of experience with children under the age of 5 years old.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent movement within the classroom, including kneeling, bending, sitting, lifting, and positioning of children.
  • Operation of adaptive and specialized equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds alone, 51+ pounds with the assistance of another person or adaptive equipment.
  • Ability to physically assist individuals as determined by their needs.
  • Ability to tolerate significant amounts of walking, standing, and sitting.
