Job Title: LPN - Adult/Youth Crisis Stabilization

At Child & Family Services, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Crisis Stabilization LPN. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, adolescents, and adults in crisis.

Job Summary:

The Crisis Stabilization LPN will provide high-quality nursing care and medical services to clients in a short-term crisis stabilization unit. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering compassionate and empathetic care, while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve treatment goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and monitor patients' mental health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by prescribers.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to healthcare team members.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  • Assist with coordinating admission and discharges of clients by working with the treatment team.
  • Reviews cases and assists with triage as needed in our Emergency Services Program.
  • Participates in ongoing staff development and training curriculum.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled supervision with the Nurse Manager.
Requirements:
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-focused environment.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly rate starting at $30-$33 per hour (depending on years of experience) + shift differentials.
  • $7.50 per hour shift differential for Friday and Saturday 3rd shift.
  • $1/hour language differential (eligible languages include: Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Spanish, or ASL).
  • $2500 Full-Time Sign-On Bonus (half at 3 months; half at 6 months).
