Job Title: Director of Business Development

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team at Superior Insurance Partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, or private equity, with a proven track record of success in identifying and executing strategic growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and evaluate potential acquisition targets, conducting thorough due diligence and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and value creation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with small business owners, brokers, and other key stakeholders to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Partner with senior leadership and our private equity partner, Tyree & D'Angelo Partners, to set and execute strategic growth plans.
  • Assist in the negotiation and execution of deals, ensuring a positive working relationship with business owners and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contacts, customers, and brokers to maintain and expand business.
  • Lead due diligence, valuation analysis, and proposal development for potential acquisition candidates.
  • Help build post-transaction value creation plans with owners to ensure a successful investment post-close.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
  • Prior experience communicating directly with small business owners.
  • Prior cold calling experience.
  • Prior experience at a multi-site acquisition-driven organization.
  • Team player and self-starter.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office products.
  • Local to or willing to relocate to Chicago.
Compensation:

Highly competitive compensation consisting of base salary, deal bonus, and equity package.
