Position Overview

The role of an Educational Administrative Coordinator involves executing tasks in alignment with established guidelines, accepted practices, and institutional policies under the guidance of supervisors. This position may also entail overseeing other support staff within the educational framework.

This role is designed to bolster the educational services offered to students, while refraining from engaging in teaching duties as delineated in relevant educational legislation. Supervision of students may be required, either individually or in small groups, under controlled conditions where the teacher retains overall responsibility.

Qualifications and certifications may be necessary for this level, with a focus on roles that do not include registered nursing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

The Educational Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative assistance for various school programs, particularly in the areas of Instrumental Music, Performing Arts, and Musical Production.
  • Utilizing software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Compass, Google Suite, and Music Monitor to facilitate administrative tasks.
  • Generating and managing documentation for students, staff, and parents.
  • Communicating essential information to stakeholders through appropriate channels.
  • Handling inquiries from students, staff, and parents via telephone and email.
  • Coordinating with external agencies and school community members.
  • Assisting with the management of physical and digital resources, including cataloguing and archiving.
  • Overseeing the management of school assets, ensuring proper storage and cataloguing.
  • Facilitating the borrowing of equipment and managing student instrument rentals.
  • Supporting the organization of events related to Performing Arts and Musical Production.
  • Providing logistical support for events, including setup and equipment management.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Staff Code of Conduct.
