Medical Billing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at Childrens Hospital of The King's Daughters. As a key member of our billing team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data collection, documentation, and submission for billing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and Manage Billing Processes: Ensure accurate and timely data collection, documentation, and submission for billing processes.
- Assist with Billing Inquiries: Provide prompt and efficient assistance with billing inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Liaise with Stakeholders: Act as a liaison between the practice, subsidiaries, affiliates, finance, insurance, patients, and other stakeholders to resolve billing-related issues.
- Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager/Billing Manager.
- Education and Experience: Associates degree in a related field and/or 3 years of experience in medical billing and coding.
- Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills, ICD-9/CPT coding, and third-party payer insurance and billing processes.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively gather and exchange information in both oral and written communications and bookkeeping skills.
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and temperature.
