Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Payment Specialist to join our team at Sentara PACE. As a Medical Payment Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of health plan/insurance payable disbursements on all product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation, balancing, and reconciliation of weekly funding requirements and monthly disbursement reports for all payor sources in a timely manner.
  • Reviews, coordinates, and processes payments, maintains vendor files, and completes all departmental documentation.
  • Requires a minimum of one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • 1 year of experience with billing
  • 1 year of experience with insurance
  • Experience with EPIC is required
