Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Billing Coordinator to join our team at Faith Regional Health Services. As a key member of our surgery center, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of insurance and billing, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handles all aspects of insurance and billing, including knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, and ability to explain to patients/guarantors.
  • Works with billing company to ensure billing is done in a timely manner, and follows up and tracks delinquent accounts.
  • Posts payments timely and accurately, secures deposits, and assists with making payment arrangements with patients and guarantors.
  • Prepares bank deposits, initiates check requests for refunds, and works age analysis monthly to keep all accounts current.
  • Performs other office duties, including knowledge of all computer systems and programs in the billing/business office, submitting invoices to appropriate parties, and maintaining a clean work area.
Requirements:
  • GED or High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills required, with strong understanding of medical office and billing functions.
