POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional service by managing incoming requests in a customer support center. The individual will perform tasks that necessitate a thorough understanding of organizational policies and procedures, including pricing structures, contract evaluations, product details, quotations, order processing, returns, and credit inquiries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts evaluations of contracts on incoming requests, ensuring shipping and freight terms are accurately documented to fulfill customer specifications. Complies with organizational and departmental guidelines regarding attendance, daily operations, and customer interaction standards. May serve as a primary contact for Garlock clients, collaborating with Area Managers, Regional Managers, Product Line Marketing teams, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and shipping departments to resolve any ambiguities in quotations and orders. Prepares Special Order Checklists as required. Adjustments to Sales Orders are made, and relevant parties are informed in accordance with company protocols and client needs. Fosters a positive workplace atmosphere, contributing as a team player by collaborating with other Garlock divisions, attending meetings, and participating in company events. Embraces and promotes change positively. Follows up on expedited requests from the customer care team. Maintains precise records of all communications, including formal and informal quotations, internal memos, procedures, instructions, sales orders, technical specifications, etc. Engages in project teams as assigned. Develops, demonstrates, and sustains a foundational understanding of Garlock products, services, and company policies, showing a commitment to personal growth and learning. May be tasked with editing and correcting received orders. Required to comprehend shipping and freight terms to ensure accurate information is recorded and products are dispatched according to customer specifications.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Associate's Degree in Business or equivalent experience. Proficient verbal and written communication and listening abilities. Comfortable utilizing computers across various applications in a Windows environment. Capable of performing multiple tasks in a dynamic work setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Flexibility in work hours. Basic organizational capabilities.

Office Role: Ability to perform sedentary work, spending extended periods engaged with a computer. Physical activities may include stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Clarity of vision is necessary for near and mid-range tasks. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds is required.

Garlock is committed to considering a wide range of compensation factors, including background, education, training, and experience, as well as geographic considerations such as labor costs and applicable local and state regulations. These factors may result in variations in offered compensation. The typical hiring range for this position is $38,900 - $63,300 annually. Actual offers will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be available for this position. Garlock provides a variety of benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.
