Position Overview

Frontwave Arena is on the lookout for a Director of Ticket Operations to lead our ticketing efforts at our 7,500-seat indoor venue dedicated to entertainment and sports. This pivotal role is responsible for managing all aspects of ticketing operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational abilities, engage professionally with stakeholders at all levels, and demonstrate the capacity to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.

Work Environment

Located in Oceanside, California, this is a full-time, salaried role. Work hours will fluctuate based on operational needs, including evenings and weekends as required by events.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for ticketing for all events held at the venue.
  • Foster strong relationships with promoters, ticketing personnel, guests, and partners.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, scheduling, and daily management of Box Office staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding ticket operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address all ticketing requirements promptly.
  • Manage Box Office operations during events, including ticket sales and customer service.
  • Promote a positive work environment and maintain high staff morale.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and proactively resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain and manage ticket inventory using appropriate software.
  • Assist in monitoring ticket inventory levels.
  • Work with the EVP of Programming to implement dynamic pricing strategies to enhance revenue.
  • Partner with various departments to develop ancillary products that drive additional revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with ADA ticketing practices.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for the Box Office.
  • Conduct daily financial reconciliations and prepare necessary reports.
  • Participate in event settlements and related duties as required.
  • Monitor ticketing software and hardware, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and new ticketing technologies.
  • Represent the ticketing department in relevant meetings and discussions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Box Office management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of customer service, computer operations, and cash management.
  • Familiarity with major ticketing platforms (e.g., AXS, Ticketmaster, Paciolian).
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
