Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY:

The UHV Area Manager will oversee operations and client interactions, ensuring the financial success of the designated market area and customer base. This role is crucial for managing the safe and efficient work activities of all personnel, providing essential support to managers and staff, and addressing any issues that arise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with corporate and area teams to establish short and long-term objectives aligned with the company's financial and operational goals.
  • Adopt a hands-on management approach, engaging with the team regularly to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Assist staff with operational needs, resolve issues, and conduct regular job audits and site assessments.
  • Promote and uphold company ethics, including environmental, regulatory, safety, and accounting standards, by exemplifying professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with area employees regarding procedures, policies, and company objectives to maintain high morale.
  • Guide managers and supervisors in achieving business objectives and budgetary goals, providing education and coaching to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) against budget forecasts and develop actionable plans for improvement.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and expertise, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of business unit employees.
  • Implement and sustain planned operational enhancements.
  • Enhance communication and reporting accuracy, ensuring timely data collection.
  • Maintain a robust accident prevention program, taking proactive measures to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Build and nurture strong business relationships with clients, aiming for the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Engage professionally with customers, vendors, and community members.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong planning and execution skills for improvement initiatives.
  • Financial acumen to make informed decisions that align with company objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact across various organizational levels and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial documents and regulations.
  • Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and related regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and motivational capabilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, operations management, or a related field preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of management experience in operations, sales, or finance, with significant exposure to manufacturing and construction environments, emphasizing health and safety protocols. Prior experience in the industrial cleaning sector is highly desirable.

TECHNOLOGY AND TOOLS:

  • Standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and copiers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with company-specific applications (e.g., ComputerEase, Liquid Frameworks).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Typical office setting.
  • Client operational sites.
  • Travel to various customer locations may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to organize office systems and manage records effectively.
  • Proficient in using computers and related devices throughout the workday.
  • Capability to navigate client sites during job assessments and service support.
