About The Position:
The Automotive Service Technician position is a full-time, hourly role tailored to meet the operational needs of Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers. This position entails executing fundamental vehicle repair and maintenance tasks in alignment with company protocols and manufacturer guidelines. The technician is expected to provide outstanding service to our customers by effectively communicating vehicle concerns and proposed remedies while ensuring that customer expectations regarding timeframes and quality are consistently fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic vehicle services and repairs accurately and efficiently, adhering to Mr. Tire's operational standards. Tire Services – execute wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair. Vehicle Services – conduct lubrications, oil changes, and basic maintenance tasks (e.g., bulb, wiper blade, and filter replacements), along with battery testing and installations. Complete Mr. Tire's Courtesy Inspection process on every customer vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating additional required services and repairs. Assist in managing inventory, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking supplies. Support all general store operations, ensuring the facility is maintained to Mr. Tire's cleanliness standards and is consistently guest-ready. Adhere to Mr. Tire's safety protocols while performing services, including but not limited to wheel torque and oil safety compliance procedures. Conduct test drives in accordance with Mr. Tire's Road Test policy, utilizing designated test drive routes while obeying all local traffic and safety regulations. Understand and comply with company policies and procedures, as well as governmental standards, including environmental codes and ANSI/OSHA regulations. Consistently apply all required safety standards as outlined in training and policies. Maintain technical expertise and skills by completing all required training courses and modules through Mr. Tire University in a timely manner. Operate and maintain all equipment safely in accordance with Mr. Tire and equipment manufacturer guidelines, including lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc. Perform additional duties as assigned and required.Required Qualifications
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Automotive training in basic vehicle maintenance and repair or a comparable combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in Mr. Tire's tool purchase program.Profile Summary

This role operates within an automotive service environment. The position involves exposure to moderate noise levels, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Automotive Service Technicians must be able to:
Work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. See, lift, carry, and stock merchandise and supplies weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance. Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently reach overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.Additional Information
