About The Position:
The Automotive Service Specialist position is a full-time hourly role that adapts to the operational needs of the business. This position is accountable for executing fundamental vehicle repair and maintenance tasks in line with company protocols and manufacturer guidelines. The Automotive Service Specialist is expected to provide outstanding service to our customers, effectively communicating vehicle concerns and suggested remedies while ensuring that customer expectations regarding timeframes and quality are consistently fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently perform essential vehicle services and repairs in accordance with Mr. Tire standards. Tire Services – conduct wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, tire changes, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair. Vehicle Services – execute lubrications, oil changes, and basic maintenance tasks (e.g., bulb, wiper blade, and filter replacements), as well as battery testing and installations. Consistently carry out Mr. Tire's Courtesy Inspection process on every customer vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating any additional required services and repairs. Assist in managing inventory, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking supplies. Contribute to general store operations, ensuring the facility is well-maintained and meets Mr. Tire cleanliness standards, always being guest-ready. Adhere to Mr. Tire's safety protocols while performing services, including but not limited to wheel torque and oil safety compliance procedures. Conduct test drives of vehicles following Mr. Tire's Road Test policy, consistently using designated test drive routes while obeying all local traffic and safety regulations. Understand and comply with company policies and procedures, as well as governmental standards, including environmental regulations and ANSI/OSHA standards. Consistently apply all required safety measures as outlined in training and company policies. Maintain technical expertise and skills by completing all required training courses and modules at Mr. Tire University in a timely manner. Operate and maintain all equipment safely, following Mr. Tire and equipment manufacturer guidelines, including lifts, welders, and brake lathes. Perform additional duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Automotive training in basic vehicle maintenance and repair or a comparable combination of education and experience. A valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). A basic set of tools or participation in Mr. Tire's tool purchase program is required.Profile Summary

This position operates within an automotive service environment. The role involves exposure to moderate noise levels, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Automotive Service Specialists must be capable of:
Working flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Lifting, carrying, and stocking merchandise and supplies up to 75 lbs. without assistance. Standing and walking for extended periods. Frequently reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.Additional Information
