Job Summary:

This position is for an Electrical Systems Specialist with the U.S. Marine Corps. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical systems, controls, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain various electrical systems, controls, and equipment.
  • Work from building plans, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Use and maintain various types of hand and/or power tools.
  • Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification Handbook for Trades and Labor Occupations.

The selection of an annuitant is subject to the Department of Defense and Department of the Navy policy on the employment of annuitants.

Veteran's preference does not apply when selecting individuals under this specific hiring authority.

Applicants must have the ability to do the work of the position without normal supervision, performing common tasks including installing, repairing, and maintaining various electrical systems, controls, and equipment.
