Position Overview

Rod 'N' Reel Resort is seeking dedicated Part-Time Front Desk Agents to enhance our guest experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting visitors, managing reservations through various channels, and ensuring seamless payment processing. This role requires a friendly demeanor, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently check guests in and out, providing room keys and guiding them to their accommodations and resort amenities.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of resort activities, dining options, transportation services, and local attractions.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of hotel staff roles, room configurations, pricing structures, and promotional strategies.
  • Address special guest requests, manage room allocations, and monitor availability effectively.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve any complaints with professionalism.
  • Process guest charges and accurately compute bills, adhering to all cash handling protocols.
  • Quickly and efficiently handle reservation requests.
  • Answer incoming calls in line with established telephone etiquette standards.
  • Collaborate with various resort departments to ensure timely responses to guest needs.
  • Report any incidents or injuries to management without delay.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior experience in a front desk role within the hospitality sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospitality management software is advantageous.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude are essential.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Proficient in preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and professionally answering phone calls.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Capable of effectively multitasking in high-pressure situations.
