Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Early Learning Center Teacher to join our team at Seven Hills Foundation. As an Early Learning Center Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Care and Education: Provide developmentally appropriate care and daily curriculum to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, following policies and procedures of the Early Education and Care (EEC) and Seven Hills Foundation.
  • Implement Curriculum: Use the Creative Curriculum to help infants, toddlers, and preschoolers develop and learn, and observe and evaluate the care provided to them by their parents, assisting parents in developing parenting skills and child care techniques.
  • Supervise and Support Staff: Assist in supervising assistant teachers, volunteers, and student interns, and complete yearly staff training hours required by EEC and Seven Hills Foundation.
  • Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment: Assist the Director in carrying out daily activities, including maintaining the physical environment, ordering and procuring materials and supplies, and laundering.
  • Communicate Effectively: Apprise the Director of issues and concerns, and carry out all activities in keeping with Seven Hills Foundation's policies, program objectives, and supervisory objectives.
Qualifications
  • Massachusetts EEC Certification: Hold a Massachusetts EEC certification as an infant/toddler and/or preschool lead teacher.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess the ability to interact positively with colleagues, parents, and visitors.
  • Reading and Literacy Skills: Be able to read to children.
  • Warm and Loving Attitude: Demonstrate a warm and loving attitude toward children.
  • Timeliness and Reliability: Possess timeliness and reliability.
  • Education and Experience: Hold a Bachelor's Degree or be actively engaged in working toward the degree, and have a minimum of two years of experience in providing direct child care services.
