Job Summary

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Multidisciplinary Assessments: Participate in comprehensive assessments of clients' developmental status, identifying strengths and areas of need.
  • Provide Direct Services: Deliver child development services and activities tailored to the unique needs of children 0-3 and their families.
  • Develop Individualized Plans: Collaborate with families to create and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs), setting goals and objectives for child development.
  • Document Progress: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, assessments, and correspondence.
  • Facilitate Family Support: Provide individual and group interventions for infants and toddlers with developmental delays, as well as supportive professional assistance to families.
  • Coordinate Services: Act as service coordinator for families, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work: Possess a Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work or be a certified or licensed social worker (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC).
  • Experience with Infants and Toddlers: Have experience working with infants, toddlers, and families, preferably in an early intervention setting.
  • Knowledge of Family Systems and Early Childhood Development: Possess knowledge of family systems and early childhood development, including the ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
  • Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries.
  • Computer Skills and Documentation: Possess good computer skills and strong documentation skills, including the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
  • Current Driver's License and Reliable Transportation: Hold a current driver's license and have reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual/Bicultural a Plus: Possess bilingual/bicultural skills, which are highly valued in this role.
