Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Seven Hills Foundation. As an Early Learning Center Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and daily curriculum to infants, toddlers, and/or preschool students, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that promotes their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

  • Implement the Creative Curriculum, using a child-centered approach to help infants, toddlers, and preschoolers develop and learn.

  • Observe and evaluate the care provided to children by their parents, and assist parents in developing parenting skills and child care techniques.

  • Assist in supervising assistant teachers, volunteers, and student interns, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

  • Complete yearly staff training hours required by the Early Education and Care (EEC) and the Seven Hills Foundation, and attend mandatory staff meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.

  • Maintain an ongoing educational plan toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, ensuring professional growth and development.

  • Assist the Director in carrying out daily activities, including maintaining the physical environment, ordering and procuring materials and supplies, and laundering.

  • Communicate effectively with the Director, sharing concerns and issues, and ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Seven Hills Foundation's policies, program objectives, and supervisory objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts EEC certification as an infant/toddler and/or preschool lead teacher.

  • Ability to interact positively with colleagues, parents, and visitors, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to read to children, using a variety of techniques to engage and educate.

  • Warm and loving attitude toward children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

  • Timeliness and reliability, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and responsibilities.

  • Bachelor's Degree or active engagement in working toward the degree, with a focus on Early Childhood Education or a related field.

  • Skills and experience in working with ethnically and culturally diverse populations, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in providing direct child care services, with a proven track record of success.
