Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Clinical Therapist - Early Childhood TFK, you will be responsible for conducting eligibility screenings, comprehensive intake and follow-up assessments, and developing treatment plans for clients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide individual counseling, case management, and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic and risk assessments using current accepted tools and practices to determine appropriate level of care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are behaviorally oriented, measurable, and appropriate for the identified level of care.
  • Provide individual counseling and assist clients in attaining treatment goals.
  • Document service delivery in accordance with department standards and progress of goals and objectives in progress notes.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Build working relationships with agencies and organizations in support of clients' recovery to facilitate referrals and care coordination.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or related field) that meet the academic requirements for independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or is actively working towards licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic and risk assessments using current accepted tools and practices to determine appropriate level of care.
  • Ability to develop and implement treatment plans that are behaviorally oriented, measurable, and appropriate for the identified level of care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health or addiction is preferred.
  • Clinical expertise specific to adults with substance use conditions and co-occurring severe and persistent mental illness with an ability to engage clients effectively and work with other professionals and organizations.
Work Environment

This is a sedentary role that requires work indoors in patient care and office environments.
