Position Summary:

Schneider is in search of a Lead Financial Accountant to join our team in the Green Bay region. This role involves participating in financial closing activities, including the preparation of internal reports and conducting comprehensive variance analyses. The Certified Public Accountant will be responsible for compiling period-end journal entries, executing analytical review processes during monthly closings, and preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee various accounting domains, including goodwill, equity, share-based compensation, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency matters.
  • Review and post journal entries during the period-end closing activities.
  • Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control procedures.
  • Prepare external financial statements.
  • Implement new accounting standards as required.
  • Develop, document, and implement processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Document accounting processes and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 4-6 years of experience in accounting or auditing.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Oracle.
  • Experience in public accounting is advantageous.
