Job Overview

We are seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team at Ledgent Finance & Accounting. This role is crucial for overseeing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Cost Management: Supervise and evaluate project cost management processes to guarantee precise monitoring of expenses and profitability.
  • End-of-Month Procedures: Coordinate and execute end-of-month procedures, which include preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and confirming the accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
  • Adjustments Review: Analyze and record necessary adjustments to maintain financial integrity and compliance.
  • Billing Oversight: Manage billing processes for multiple active projects, ensuring invoices are correct, timely, and adhere to contractual obligations. This includes addressing ongoing inquiries and resolving billing-related issues.
  • Financial Analysis: Produce and interpret financial reports to support strategic decision-making and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiently utilize Vista Viewpoint software for accounting functions, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with this system.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Professional Experience:
    • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the construction sector is essential, with a solid grasp of project costing and billing processes.
    • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint software is highly desirable.
    • Billing Knowledge: Understanding of billing processes is crucial, although specific experience in AIA billing is not mandatory. However, the ability to manage inquiries and resolve billing issues is vital.
