Senior Software Engineer - Cyber Intelligence Division

As a pivotal member of our Cyber Intelligence Division, you will be responsible for a range of critical functions:

  • Requirements Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis to gather and define software requirements.
  • Software Development: Engage in high-level software development, installation, integration, and enhancement with minimal supervision.
  • Guidance and Mentorship: Provide clear directions and mentorship to junior programmer/analysts, fostering their professional growth.
  • Solution Development: Innovate and develop solutions that effectively integrate or extend Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) products.
  • Project Evaluation: Assess project needs, establish task durations, and ensure designs meet technical accuracy and completeness.
  • Agile Support: Contribute to agile software design and development for frameworks operating on large-scale computing clusters.
  • Data Warehouse Modernization: Address requirements and actively support modernization activities within the Data Warehouse.
Qualifications:
  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph.
  • Experience: A minimum of 20 years in a Senior Software Engineer role within similar programs.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Production Development: At least 6 years of experience in developing production-level software, including RESTful services and cloud development techniques.
Core Competencies and Skills:
  • Programming Expertise: Proficient in Java programming for distributed systems, with experience in Cassandra or NoSQL databases, web application development, and Amazon S3 and EC2.
  • Development Practices: Familiarity with REST APIs and agile development methodologies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals, scripting languages, source code management tools, and continuous integration/testing/monitoring practices.
