We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English educator to join our team at the Academy at Kiley. As a member of our faculty, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to our mission of academic excellence and social responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic growth and social development for all students.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of our students, including those with special needs, English Language Learners, and students performing below grade level.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
- Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a culture of mutual respect and open communication.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education and to enhance your own teaching skills.
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Experience teaching English at the middle school level, preferably with a focus on literacy and language arts.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and implementation, including state and national standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
