Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our team at Commerce Early College High School. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching English Language Arts to high school students and implementing anti-racist instructional practices to ensure students own the learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English Language Arts to high school students, providing grade-level rigor and using highly-rated, research-based curriculum
  • Implement anti-racist instructional practices to ensure students own the learning
  • Provide embedded interventions for students needing additional support, time, or scaffolds
  • Work closely with a co-taught team of educators in the classroom
  • Engage with families as partners in the learning around successes, challenges, and problem-solving on behalf of our scholars
  • Other duties as determined by the Principal

Requirements

  • Experience teaching in middle school or high school
  • Appropriate content/program area and grade level educator license (English) from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
  • Experience as an active anti-racist or advocate for equity
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree
