We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate English Teacher to join our team at the High School of Commerce Early College. As an English Teacher, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the school's mission of building an anti-racist learning community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote academic rigor and equity in the classroom.
  • Provide individualized support to students through embedded interventions and scaffolding.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement anti-racist instructional practices that ensure students own the learning.
  • Communicate effectively with families and engage them as partners in the learning process.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in education.
Requirements
  • Experience teaching English in a high school setting.
  • Appropriate content/program area and grade level educator license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
  • Experience as an active anti-racist or advocate for equity.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's degree.
