Senior Accountant Role Overview:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
  • Examine and supervise the general ledger and financial documentation
  • Develop new accounting frameworks and generate custom reports
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and evaluate income statement accounts
  • Conduct cash flow projections, assist in budget formulation, and address discrepancies
  • Investigate accounting standards and ensure adherence to GAAP
  • Optimize procedures for improved efficiency and precision in financial reporting
  • Oversee the accounting of fixed assets and grants

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years in financial management
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
  • Proficient in MS Excel

  • Experience in non-profit accounting
  • Familiarity with grant management and accounting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Abila MIP
  • Background in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment
