Job Overview

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for steering the execution of projects aligned with the strategic objectives of The Crosby Company. This role is pivotal in providing structure and organization to various initiatives, fostering effective communication among teams, and optimizing internal processes to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs cross-functional teams in managing significant systems and business projects, facilitating consensus, and proactively addressing challenges. Offers both strategic and tactical insights to achieve project goals efficiently.
  • Creates essential project documentation such as project charters, schedules, resource allocations, communication plans, training materials, and go-live readiness strategies, incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
  • Generates and presents progress reports, proposals, and documentation. Communicates project timelines, milestones, upcoming tasks, and any associated risks or issues to Senior Leaders, Sponsors, and Stakeholders.
  • Ensures that project outcomes are achieved and that the anticipated business benefits are realized.
  • Identifies resource requirements, acquires necessary resources, and coordinates the efforts of team members and external contractors to ensure project adherence to plans.
  • Conducts Post Implementation Reviews to capture lessons learned and enhance future project execution.
  • Contributes to the evolution of PMO capabilities by identifying, maintaining, and training on best practices and methodologies in project management.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to enhance collaboration and integration between business and IT functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • A Master's degree in a business discipline is advantageous.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in project management or program management.
  • PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; CSM certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in leading high-profile strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Experience in managing multi-year projects related to digital transformation and financial systems.
  • Proficient in project management tools, including Microsoft Project and JIRA.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex IT projects on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Familiarity with IT best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends in project management and Agile methodologies.
