Job Overview

The Principal IT Program Manager is responsible for steering the execution of critical projects aligned with the strategic objectives of The Crosby Company. This role is pivotal in providing structure and organization to project initiatives, fostering effective communication among teams, and optimizing internal processes to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs cross-functional teams in managing significant systems and business projects, facilitating consensus, and proactively addressing challenges. Offers both strategic and tactical insights to achieve project goals efficiently.
  • Creates essential project documentation, including project charters, schedules, resource allocations, and communication plans, ensuring stakeholder engagement and approval.
  • Delivers comprehensive progress reports, proposals, and presentations. Communicates project timelines, milestones, and any associated risks or issues to Senior Leaders and Stakeholders.
  • Ensures that project objectives are met and that desired business outcomes are realized.
  • Identifies resource requirements, acquires necessary resources, and coordinates the efforts of team members and external contractors to adhere to project plans.
  • Conducts Post Implementation Reviews to capture lessons learned and enhance future project execution.
  • Contributes to the evolution of PMO capabilities by identifying, maintaining, and training on best practices and methodologies in project management.
  • Continuously seeks to enhance collaboration and integration between business and IT functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • A Master's degree in a business discipline is advantageous.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in project management or program management.
  • PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; CSM certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in leading high-profile strategic initiatives across an organization.
  • Experience managing multi-year projects related to digital transformation and financial systems.
  • Proficient in project management tools, including Microsoft Project and JIRA.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex IT projects on schedule, within budget, and with exceptional quality.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Robust problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Knowledge of IT best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends in project management and Agile methodologies.
