Job Overview

The Senior IT Project Manager plays a crucial role in steering the successful execution of projects aligned with the strategic objectives of The Crosby Company. This position is essential in establishing order and clarity within projects, fostering effective communication among teams, and optimizing internal processes to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs cross-departmental teams in managing significant systems and business initiatives, facilitating consensus, and proactively addressing challenges. Provides both strategic and operational insights to achieve project goals efficiently.
  • Creates essential project documentation, including project charters, timelines, resource allocations, communication strategies, training materials, and readiness plans, ensuring stakeholder engagement and approval.
  • Generates and presents progress reports, proposals, and documentation. Effectively communicates project timelines, milestones, upcoming tasks, and potential risks to Senior Leaders, Sponsors, and Stakeholders.
  • Ensures project deliverables are met and that the anticipated business outcomes are realized.
  • Identifies and secures necessary resources, coordinating the efforts of team members and external contractors to execute projects as planned. Guarantees that all project participants have the requisite tools and information to fulfill their roles.
  • Conducts Post Implementation Reviews to capture insights and lessons learned, contributing to ongoing improvement in project execution.
  • Assists in enhancing PMO capabilities by identifying, maintaining, and educating on best practices, processes, and deliverables in project management. Provides input for the development of training programs to strengthen project management competencies.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities to enhance collaboration and integration between business and IT functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • A Master's degree in a business discipline is advantageous.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in project management or program management.
  • PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies; CSM certification is a plus.
  • Experience in leading high-profile strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-year projects focused on digital transformation and financial systems.
  • Proficient in project management tools, including Microsoft Project and JIRA.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex IT projects on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends in project management and Agile methodologies.
