Position Summary:

We are in search of a Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for Latin America to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical capabilities to thoroughly understand our business landscape and projects. You will provide insightful analysis and recommendations that will drive the success of our initiatives from inception to completion, leveraging our commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the evaluation of M&A opportunities and manage transaction workflows, including financial assessment, due diligence, and the formulation of investment proposals. This involves a qualitative analysis of potential deals and integrating those insights into the evaluation process.
  • Coordinate due diligence efforts, ensuring effective collaboration among external partners and internal teams involved in the transaction.
  • Take full ownership of the valuation process, including the development of financial models to assess individual projects.
  • Craft persuasive investment proposals that clearly outline key risks and value drivers, serving as the foundation for equity investments.
  • Facilitate internal processes for transaction evaluation and approval, including the preparation of presentations and documentation for the Investment Committee.
  • Mentor and guide analysts and junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to build a robust pipeline of potential transactions.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven track record as a Vice President with substantial experience in executing and originating transactions within the Latin American energy sector.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to navigate a flat organizational structure and collaborate across teams.

  • Willingness to travel as necessary for transaction-related activities.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in a financial institution or strategic firm focused on energy or infrastructure investments.
