Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a therapeutic alliance with supervisees, fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Apply clinical skills to support client treatment, ensuring safe, secure, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Conduct diagnostic and comprehensive assessments, creating individualized treatment plans that drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on supervisee documentation, promoting excellence in clinical practice.
  • Attend required meetings and facilitate weekly staff case consults, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate records of supervision sessions and submit monthly reports to administrative staff.
  • Effectively manage schedules to ensure availability for supervisee learning and development.
  • Represent UnitedHealth Group positively, modeling professional behavior and adhering to company policies.
  • Develop Supervision Plans and Learning Contracts with each supervisee, promoting tailored growth and development.
  • Communicate concerns or performance issues with the Associate Director of Clinical Services, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Support supervisee clinical and professional growth through strengths-based, reflective supervision and case consultation.
  • Complete monthly performance tracking and bi-annual reviews for each supervisee, driving continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the interview process for prospective clinicians, ensuring a strong fit for our team.
  • May lead, plan, and/or participate in Clinical Trainee Training Day and associated events, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Arrange for supervisor coverage in the event of a planned or unexpected absence, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Behavioral Science/related field (Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Education, etc.).
  • An active, independent clinical license as a Mental Health Professional in the State of Minnesota (LP, LPCC, LICSW, LMFT).
  • Licensed Supervisor - Board approval to supervise Mental Health Practitioners and Clinical Trainees.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Licensed Mental Health Professional role.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to adhere to one of the following work models: Onsite (must complete all work at one consistent site) or Hybrid - at least 2 days on site (must have a distraction-free space in home for home office with access to high-speed internet).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in outpatient mental health.
  • Experience in clinical documentation.
  • Diagnostic assessment experience.
  • Experienced in treatment planning and maintaining a caseload.
  • Experience entering pertinent information in Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems.
  • Experience reading and interpreting information, such as reports, general correspondence, professional publications, and government regulations, with the ability to share with others as needed.
  • Experience reading, interpreting and applying/modeling general information from policy and procedure manuals and other compliance related information.
  • Experience presenting information and responding to questions from internal and external stakeholders which can or may include community providers, medical professionals, management, peers, family members and client.
  • Knowledge of the effects of mental illness and seeks information from a wide variety of disciplines applicable to the treatment of persons with mental illness.
