KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, tack, and weld both ferrous and nonferrous materials.
• Comprehend and apply relevant welding procedure specifications.
• Execute all welding tasks in accordance with applicable welding codes.
• Focus on the aesthetic quality of welds and the critical nature of applications as special considerations for this role.
• Understand and implement the relevant weld inspection criteria.
• Cut, grind, fit, and bend components to align with weldments as necessary.
• Clean and deburr welds to meet customer satisfaction and applicable welding codes.
• Collaborate with team members to assemble and weld large components.
• Conduct testing and inspection of welds to fulfill quality standards.
• Perform weld rework according to applicable welding codes.
• Execute weld repairs following accepted procedures.
• Salvage and reconstruct parts as directed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficient in interpreting complex drawings, welding symbols, and shop mathematics.
• Equivalent to four years of high school education plus technical training in welding.
• Capability to pass necessary weld tests associated with relevant welding standards.
• GMAW Certification or 3-5 years of relevant experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience in welding large, heavy industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with welding using stainless steel filler metal and related equipment.

Compensation


The starting pay rate is $26.13, with a certified hourly rate of $31.14, and potential to reach an hourly rate of $32.26.

2nd shift premium: $0.70/per hour
