Position Overview:

The role involves repairing and servicing the mechanical, electrical, and other components of trailers using various tools, including hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Conducting DOT inspections at the company facility is also a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify necessary mechanical, electrical, or other repairs to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct DOT and PM Inspections on trailers accurately.
  • Perform welding and fabrication of steel and aluminum as required.
  • Repair electronic systems and run trailer wiring as needed.
  • Fix and repair tires as necessary.
  • Assist customers during service calls.
  • Complete all required documentation, including forms, timecards, and parts requests associated with trailer repairs.
  • Represent Quality Truck Care Center professionally, maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor in all interactions.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure safety.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:

  • A clean and valid Wisconsin Driver's License is required; a CDL is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to navigate stairs to access various areas.
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment.
  • Capability to stand, walk, reach, climb, and perform physical tasks.
  • Ability to see clearly at close range.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
