Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Substance Use Counselor to join our team in Portland. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will provide direct treatment services to clients, including screening and intake, psychosocial assessment and disposition, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide recommendations for treatment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology)
  • Active state license as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and mental health issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
