About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Greater Portland Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care to our diverse patient population.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of medical conditions, including mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program with a Maine State license to practice medicine and a valid DEA number.
  • At least two years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a strong preference for those with board certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American College of Nurse Practitioners.
  • Ability to be credentialed at assigned hospitals and contractible on Greater Portland Health insurance plans.
  • Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs.
