Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and technical expertise for the Ronald Reagan Clinical Laboratory within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
- Coordinate quality control and proficiency activities, ensuring the highest standards of laboratory performance.
- Develop and implement training programs for testing personnel, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform complex laboratory tests.
- Validate new analyzers and tests, ensuring their accuracy and reliability.
- Write policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and laboratory best practices.
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 4 years of licensed CLS experience, with a focus on Hematology and Coagulation.
- Proven experience in training and lecturing, with a track record of success.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated experience in validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, ensuring visual acuity and color differentiation.
- A competitive salary range of $60.71/hour to $78.17/hour.
