Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist Specialist for Point of Care Testing

UCLA Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist Specialist to lead our Point of Care Testing program in Ambulatory areas. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical expertise and leadership to ensure the highest quality testing and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and support for Point of Care Testing, including quality control and proficiency activities
- Train and competency test testing personnel on new analyzers and tests
- Validate new analyzers and tests, and write policies and procedures
- Collaborate with clinicians and laboratory staff to ensure seamless testing and patient care
- Minimum of four years of clinical laboratory scientist experience
- Experience in Point of Care Testing and training/lecturing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Demonstrated experience in LIS interface validation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Ability to travel between clinics within Los Angeles to support point-of-care testing activities
- Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam
