Job Responsibilities

As a Commercial Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating sales of our diverse range of commercial building products to prospective clients. You will play a crucial role in expanding our commercial market presence, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets through direct sales activities and coordination with branch support teams. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Identifying and targeting potential clients within the commercial construction industry to promote and sell our building products.
  • Conducting thorough market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and industry trends to tailor sales strategies effectively.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust sales pipeline by identifying leads, qualifying prospects, and following up on opportunities.
  • Delivering compelling product presentations and demonstrations to highlight the features, benefits, and value propositions of our building products.
  • Collaborating closely with the internal sales team, branch management, product managers, and technical experts to ensure accurate product information is provided to clients.
  • Building and nurturing strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their requirements and offering tailored solutions.
  • Negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with clients, ensuring a win-win outcome for both parties.
  • Providing exceptional post-sales support, addressing client inquiries, concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Meeting and exceeding individual and team sales targets, contributing to the overall revenue growth of the organization.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Communicating and coordinating proactively with Branch Support teams to ensure effective and successful support of material sales and deliveries, driving customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of successful outside sales experience within the commercial construction building products industry.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building products, materials, and construction processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse clients and build rapport.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a disciplined sales approach.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software to manage leads, opportunities, and sales activities.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet clients and attend industry events.
