Job Summary

The System Executive Director, Human Resources at MUSC Health is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and transforming HR operations and human resource service delivery across the enterprise. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of performance management, change management, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide thought leadership to senior HR and MUSC Health executive leadership.
  • Focus on improving the employee experience, people processes, and service delivery in pursuit of positioning the organization as a best place to work.
  • Oversee key HR functions including HR Operations, HRIS, Policy Development and Implementation, and Employee Engagement.
  • In collaboration with human capital leadership across the health system, create a best-in-class employee experience, with an emphasis on engagement, development, retention, and culture.
  • Ensure policies, processes, and practices across the employee life cycle are streamlined and appropriately embed equity initiatives to foster an inclusive environment that enables all team members to thrive, feel valued and be heard.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant business and progressive human resources experience with at least 7 years of experience leading teams at various levels within HR.
  • Tangible experience as a System CHRO.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within a complex healthcare system.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience required.
  • Masters in human resources management, Business Administration, or Juris Doctorate highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience promoting and fostering a work environment based on equity, fairness and reflective of our patient population in the state of S.C.
  • Expert and broad knowledge of end-to-end HR Operations and Employee and Labor Relations.
  • Demonstrated experience within Benefits.
  • Has worked and led within a shared services model.
  • Expert communication skills with a diversity of communication styles; savvy communicator both orally and in writing.
