Job Overview

The Human Resources Communications Intern will support the Human Resources department and Communications team with a wide range of projects related to HR strategy, diversity & inclusion, HR IT systems, and process management.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides support in strategic and functional areas of a human resources department, which may include HR IT systems, diversity equity & inclusion, compensation and benefits recommendations, business analysis, project management, and communications.
  • Assists in the collection of internal and external information for reports and statistical research.
  • Works directly with key personnel to understand project concept, objectives, and approach.
  • Completes data analysis and drafts executive recommendations.
  • May be responsible for making meeting arrangements and coordinating workshops.
  • Participates in HR IT topics related to managing application controls and change management.
  • Supports elaboration and implementation of concepts and HR programs.
  • Handles client requests and delivers quality solutions if able, or escalates the request to a more senior team member.
  • Drafts and proofreads HR documents including team member communication, HR work instructions, and training materials.
  • Assists with administrative support and other ad hoc HR-related projects as assigned.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assists where needed by Human Resources and Communications.
Qualifications:
  • Recent graduate or Junior/Senior currently attaining Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, preferably with a focus on Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Leadership, Project Management, HR IT, or comparable study.
  • Previous internships or work experience in Corporate environments preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proactivity and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Desire for continuous development and learning opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Prefer knowledge in project management, system development, or organizational change management.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in University, in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree, or recent graduate.
  • A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study.
  • Available for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Preferred /hour work week, but part-time hours are also available.
