POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in assisting Management in fostering a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment, where our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store operations. This includes ensuring an exceptional customer experience while maximizing profitability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Performance:
  • Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; assists in selecting merchandise or locating items based on customer preferences.
  • Stays informed about current promotions and sales; upholds pricing and visual merchandising standards.
  • Adheres to standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other tasks as assigned by Management.
  • Participates in visual merchandising initiatives, including monthly store setups and maintenance of designated areas.

Customer Experience:
  • Exemplifies and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Facilitates a quick and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about payment policies, coupon acceptance, returns, exchanges, security practices, and other operational protocols.
  • Encourages purchasing decisions at the register and meets add-on sales goals, including gift card promotions.
  • Enrolls clients in the rewards program.
  • Develops and maintains a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.
  • Familiarizes with current product offerings and fit options available in-store and online.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with clients through a customer book.

Operational Excellence:
  • Assists in replenishment efforts to ensure the store remains well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Aids in fulfilling locate requests.
  • Contributes to visual merchandising tasks, including floor sets, window displays, and signage placement as directed.
  • Supports the cleanliness and organization of the boutique.

Team Collaboration and Development:
  • Encourages an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Seeks opportunities for personal growth and actively requests feedback.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous retail or sales experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to company-provided technology.
  • Excellent organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and management.
  • Regular attendance is critical to ensure adequate coverage for company objectives. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of the shift).
  • Regular climbing (34%-66% of the shift).

The wage range for this position is $16.30 to $20.50, with successful candidates' wage rates determined based on individual qualifications.
