Position Summary

The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in steering the overall production and maintenance activities in alignment with the company's vision and core values. This position emphasizes fostering a strong safety culture among all employees by advocating for an Employee-Driven, Hazard-Controlled environment. The supervisor will provide strategic guidance to the local business and oversee the production schedule to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to budgetary constraints and efficiency targets. Continuous improvement initiatives will be a key focus, alongside managing predictive and preventative maintenance strategies to ensure optimal asset reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and uphold continuous flow production methodologies.
  • Proactively identify and execute process enhancements, including raw material cost reduction and asset utilization.
  • Drive leadership development and assess team dynamics to prepare for organizational changes.
  • Oversee the daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Facilitate effective communication among staff through structured meetings and safety huddles.
  • Ensure comprehensive training programs are in place for all employees.
  • Optimize plant layout to maximize safety and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize inventory management processes to align finished goods inventory with business targets.
  • Conduct monthly OSHA compliance training as per established schedules.
  • Engage the safety committee in promoting safety initiatives and enhancing awareness.
  • Manage the overall preventative and predictive maintenance programs for the facility.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of precast processes and industry best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in an industrial setting overseeing multiple departments.
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Production, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and training that demonstrate the ability to fulfill the key responsibilities of this role are also acceptable.
