Job Summary

Coca-Cola Bottling Company High Country is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse, Equipment Service, and Fleet areas of the Sales Center. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Warehouse, Equipment Service, and Fleet areas, ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to minimize out-of-date and out-of-stock issues in the warehouse and in the market.
  • Statistical Analysis: Analyze data and reports to identify areas for continuous improvement and make recommendations to management.
  • Financial Management: Manage the monthly and annual department operating budget, controlling expenses effectively and providing explanations of budget variances to management.
  • Team Leadership: Provide training and supervisory direction to forklift operators and warehouse personnel, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Facility Management: Ensure that the warehouse is laid out for maximum efficiency and that all facilities are clean and well-maintained.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee all incoming and outgoing trucking activities, ensuring that all shipments are delivered on time and in good condition.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of all equipment, including forklifts and other machinery.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products are stored and handled in a way that maintains their quality and integrity.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Two to three years of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Microsoft Office proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in an office environment, with sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time. Ability to walk, talk, and hear, with the use of hands to handle, feel, or operate objects. Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to focus when using a computer terminal. Ability to repetitively lift, pull, and push 50+ pounds, reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment can be moderately noisy due to manufacturing and/or warehousing equipment in operation.
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel to other company locations approximately 10% and attend out-of-town training and/or seminars.
