Position Summary:

The Logistics Transport Operator plays a crucial role within the Operations and Sales Center Team, responsible for the transportation, planning, and coordination of various duties related to the sales center, including the movement of products, materials, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport products to and from facilities for customer deliveries.
  • Conduct necessary vehicle and load inspections in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with annual inspection schedules.
  • Perform various tasks to maintain facilities to company standards.
  • Operate industrial power equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements affecting operational areas.
  • Complete assigned work orders accurately.
  • Prepare orders based on pick tickets for loading onto delivery vehicles as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of transport vehicles and organization of warehouse areas.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing products for accuracy and accountability.
  • Load and unload designated trailers and route trucks.
  • Hook and unhook trailers and manage dunnage items.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners.
  • Assist in overseeing forklift operations as needed.
  • Adhere to safety standards and good manufacturing practices.
  • Comply with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate various types of industrial power trucks.
  • Possession of an active Class A CDL with double endorsement, maintaining compliance with all requirements.
  • Capability to pass and uphold DOT physical standards.
  • Experience operating manual and powered pallet jacks.
  • Strong attention to detail and adaptability to workplace changes.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Sound decision-making abilities in alignment with company practices.
  • Enthusiastic approach to daily tasks and long-term objectives.
  • Demonstrated reliability and commitment to quality management.
  • Promote safety and security procedures in all operations.
  • Exhibit honesty and respect in all interactions.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 0 – 1 year of general work experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Active Class A CDL required.
