Position Summary:

The Transport Driver plays a crucial role within our Operations and Sales Center Team, responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of products, materials, and equipment. This position involves planning and coordinating various duties related to the sales center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport products to and from facilities for customer deliveries.
  • Conduct necessary vehicle and load inspections in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of annual vehicle inspections.
  • Assist in maintaining facilities to meet company standards.
  • Operate industrial power equipment as required.
  • Stay informed about advancements in technology relevant to the role.
  • Complete assigned work orders accurately.
  • Prepare orders based on pick tickets for loading onto delivery vehicles when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the transport vehicle and warehouse area.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing products for accuracy and accountability.
  • Load and unload designated trailers and route trucks.
  • Hook and unhook trailers and manage dunnage items.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners.
  • Oversee forklift operations as needed.
  • Adhere to safety standards and good manufacturing practices.
  • Comply with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active Class A CDL with double endorsement.
  • Ability to meet DOT physical requirements.
  • Experience operating manual and powered pallet jacks.
  • Strong attention to detail and adaptability to workplace changes.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to make informed decisions in line with company practices.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and energy in daily tasks.
  • Reliable attendance and availability for work.
  • Commitment to quality management and safety procedures.
  • Exhibit honesty, trust, and respect in all interactions.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 0-1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Vision capabilities required include close vision and focus for detailed tasks.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise levels due to equipment operation.
  • Potentially slippery surfaces in production areas.
