Member Relations Specialist Role
Alternatives Federal Credit Union is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Member Services Team as a Member Relations Specialist.

Alternatives FCU is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) credit union serving Tompkins and surrounding counties. We pride ourselves on finding solutions for those left behind by mainstream financial institutions.

Job Responsibilities
As a Member Relations Specialist, you will provide exceptional customer service to members by assisting with transactions, explaining products, and offering solutions via email, phone, and chat.
Requirements
Applicants should be available to work full-time until 5 pm on weekdays and two Saturdays per month at an overtime rate.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be mission-driven, have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required. Experience working or volunteering with social justice organizations, community development groups, CDFIs, or other organizations supporting our target market, including low-income and BIPOC communities, is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Previous customer service experience in a financial setting and a notary license are helpful.
