Position Overview

The individual will function as a LOGISTICS OFFICER within the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group of the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL.

Eligibility
  • This position is available to the general public, specifically U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or individuals who owe allegiance to the United States.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee personnel within the logistics team concerning the command's operational objectives.
  • Administer all logistical needs, including the transportation of personnel and materials, essential for supporting the organization's strategic initiatives.
  • Manage functions related to asset management, inventory, procurement, contract administration, maintenance, material readiness, logistics strategy, and research and development.
  • Formulate and sustain the command's fiscal year planning document, which encompasses tracking financial commitments and obligations.
  • Assist in the creation of performance work statements, acquisition plans, and various contractual discussions.
Requirements

Employment Conditions

  • Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
  • Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.

  • Obtaining and maintaining a Secret security clearance is required prior to commencing duties.
  • This role may necessitate travel to various locations, including remote or isolated sites, and candidates must be capable of traveling on military and commercial aircraft for extended durations.
  • Certification as a Contracting Officer Representative Level I must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch hold a heightened responsibility for promoting government ethics.
Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector. This experience should illustrate capabilities in planning, managing, integrating, coordinating, and evaluating logistical operations such as supply chain management, budgeting, procurement, or acquisition necessary to support the organization's mission.
