Position Overview

The Logistics Officer will play a crucial role within the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group, contributing to the effective management of logistics operations.

Eligibility
  • This position is open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or individuals who owe allegiance to the United States.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the logistics staff to ensure alignment with the command's strategic objectives.
  • Administer all logistical needs, including the transportation of personnel and materials essential for operational success.
  • Coordinate activities related to property oversight, supply chain management, procurement, contracting, maintenance, and logistics planning.
  • Develop and maintain the fiscal year plan, tracking financial commitments and obligations.
  • Assist in crafting performance work statements, acquisition strategies, and managing various contractual engagements.
Employment Conditions
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
  • Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
  • New hires will need to pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Compliance with Selective Service registration is required for males born after a specified date.
  • Obtaining and maintaining a Secret security clearance is necessary prior to starting the role.
  • This position may involve travel to various locations, including remote sites.
  • Certification as a Contracting Officer Representative Level I must be achieved within the first year of employment.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, demonstrating expertise in planning, managing, and evaluating logistical operations, including supply chain and budget management.
