Role Summary:
We are looking for a highly proficient and seasoned Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team at Saxon Global. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in hardware management, data center transitions, and a deep understanding of OpenShift/OpenStack technologies. This position demands a hands-on approach and prior experience with large-scale operations is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and sustain the organization's hardware ecosystem, encompassing servers, storage solutions, and networking apparatus.
  • Conduct routine hardware upkeep, diagnostics, and repairs to guarantee peak performance and dependability.
  • Strategize and implement data center migrations, collaborating with stakeholders, documenting workflows, and minimizing service interruptions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to architect, deploy, and maintain OpenShift/OpenStack environments.
  • Assess system performance, pinpoint inefficiencies, and execute necessary enhancements.
  • Ensure data center security and adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and internal teams.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting methodologies for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends pertinent to system administration and data center management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, with a preference for candidates with a background in large-scale operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of hardware management, including servers, storage systems, and networking devices.
  • Experience with data center migrations, including planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in OpenShift/OpenStack environments.
  • Practical experience with system administration tasks, such as installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard security protocols and compliance mandates.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
