Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of server load balancing, application scaling, and WAS clustering.
  • Identify and resolve middleware challenges across various environments including development, testing, and production.
  • Conduct proactive monitoring of both local and remote data center operations, ensuring all equipment and processes are functioning optimally.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and best practices to enhance our systems.
  • Facilitate effective communication regarding system issues, maintenance, and status updates, while managing escalations for significant problems.
  • Oversee the management of Windows Active Directory, including DNS and Group Policies.
  • Provide mentorship to junior technicians, offering assistance as needed.
  • Be prepared to travel as necessary.
  • Participate in a mandatory rotational schedule for on-call support during off-hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a network or infrastructure engineering role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in network or infrastructure engineering.
Essential Skills:
  • Strategic planning capabilities for evolving business environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT operations and systems requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Unix, and Windows environments.
  • Proficient in managing Windows Server, Microsoft SQL, and Active Directory.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and VMware Log Insight.
  • Ability to write PowerShell scripts for automation.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and work environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
Additional Information:
This position will require a hybrid work model and is part of a short-term project. Interviews will be conducted virtually.
